"Home is where one starts from. As we grow older the world becomes stranger, the pattern more complicated of dead and living. Not the intense moment, isolated, with no before and after, but a lifetime burning in every moment. And not the lifetime of one man only, but of old stones that cannot be deciphered." ----- T. S. Eliot, 1888-1965 "Four Quartets, East Coker" (1940)

Lisa, nice group picture and it's nice you have all their names. Is it a miniature photo or full size?
ReplyDeleteThanks Barbara! The outside measurements are 8" x 10" but the photo itself is only 5 1/2" x 3 3/4". I had to do some repairs, especially to the outer edges and corners as they are badly bumped. I have a second one that has only the four siblings that I will post at another time.
ReplyDeleteThanks Lisa, I thought it was a darling small photo, you are fortunate to have it and the other one you mentioned.
ReplyDeleteInteresting that two of the women were named Eliza Jane. Wonderful photo!
ReplyDeleteI was thinking it was pretty odd that 3 of the 4 women had the middle name of Jane!
